Some of her reporting includes research with the University of Mississippi Slavery Research Group, the absence of African American fraternities and sororities after displacement, covering a pro-Confederacy protest, and exposing a suspected racially-motivated crime on the university campus.
McKenzie has traveled around a lot, but she will always be an S.E.C. girl at heart. After making it an assignment to travel to all 50 states before beginning her full-time profession, she has learned that no one does football season better than the S.E.C.; however, her passion for sports extends to baseball, basketball volleyball, tennis, cornhole, etc.
