Before that, she worked at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, WWTV 9&10 in Cadillac, and WEYI-TV25 in Flint. Shaw serves on the grant committee of the Bissell Pet Foundation where she helps in finding forever homes for shelter animals. She supports many charities and organizations across West Michigan such as I Understand, a non-profit organization that deals with mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Additionally, Shaw was named to the leadership board of the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
