Prior to joining the station, she worked at WMBD-TV Channel 31 in Central Illinois, United States starting as a morning news anchor, reporter, and noon producer in March 2018. She then became the evening news anchor and reporter in May 2021 where she co-anchored the 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 9.30 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts. While at the station, Roberts reported breaking news, wrote, and edited business development franchise packages every week. She also served as a newsroom leader by pitching stories, hosting community events, and training reporters.
Before that, Roberts worked at FOX 28 News in Savannah, Georgia as a weekday nightside multimedia journalist from March 2016 to March 2018. During her time there, she hosted and produced the station’s Jefferson Awards segment. Prior to joining the station, she worked at WMBF in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as a weekend multimedia journalist and news content specialist from May 2015 to February 2016. Before that, she worked at WOLV-TV at the University of Michigan as a news producer and multimedia journalist from October 2011 to May 2015. Roberts worked as a production intern at Community Television Network in Ann Arbor, Michigan from January 2015 to April 2015.
Throughout her career, she has received several awards including the Best TV Anchor Award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association, and the Best Multicultural Reach” Award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association.
