Andrew Siff is an Emmy Award winning Journalist who reports on transportation, governmental affairs, politics and general assignment issues for NBC 4 New York. He regularly appears on weekdays at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm. Andrew is also an Edward R. Murrow winner.
His reporting was a key component of NBC 4 New York’s Award winning COVID- 19 coverage that was honored in January 2021 woth the prestigious Alfred I. duPont- Columbia University Award for creating a 360 view in real time of the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally his reporting was also an important contributor to a second prestigious station honor. in this NBC 4 New York was recognized and awarded with the 2020 National Edward R. Murrow Award by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
Siff was recognized as the market’s top transportation and traffic reporter in both 2018 and 2019. He was also honored for general Excellence in Reporting in 2013. He has been awarded a national Edward R. Murrow Award in 2016 for Mother Nature, Let up, a story that took a deepr look at extreme weathers throughout the Tri-State. In 2014 he received an Emmy Award and a National Edward R. Murrow Award for NBC 4 New York’s team coverage of Superstorm Sandy. He has also two regional Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2019 for feature reporting with his profile of a veteran’s fight against PTSD awarded a third regional honor in 2020.
In his time at WNBC Siff has delivered up to the minute updates throughout the Eric Garner case including being the 1st to report on how the departmental judge reached her Verdict. He has also extensively covered the political scene at all levels of government- from city Hall to the White House.
