During his time at the station, he has won the admiration of the sports fans in Northeast Wisconsin, hosting the award-winning “Monday Night Kick-Off” throughout the regular schedule, and performing pre-season Packer football games’ play-by-play duties. Prior to joining the station, Jartz worked at WSAW-TV in Wausau as the 10 o’clock sports anchor. However, he confesses that he felt elated about joining WBAY-TV as he grew up watching Channel 2 and he is so happy to have hooked up with the best.

In 1989, he won the Wisconsin High School Baseball Coaches Association Media Award due to his strong work ethic and personal experience. He also won the WIXX Media Personality Award. In October 1988, Jartz followed another sports veteran’s path, Chuck Ramsay, to take a new challenge as a news anchor, working alongside Cami Rapson on Action 2 News at Ten. Four years later, the venerable anchor retired and Jartz was given the role of the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. co-anchor. He can be heard as the voice of Lambeau Field during Green Bay Packers home game days. Jartz began as the public address announcer in the preseason of 2005. He proudly supports March of Dimes and Children Wisconsin and has appeared on the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. Jartz is also part of Ducks Unlimited, ASPIRO, and Whitetails Unlimited among others.
