Prior to joining the station, he worked at KX News in Bismarck, North Dakota as an evening anchor from March 2017 to June 2019. While working there, he reported on some major political stories and many presidential rallies. He also served as a correspondent on a statewide Sunday morning political news show. Before that, Mira worked at KOLR 10 News in Springfield, Missouri as a morning anchor from August 2014 to March 2017. He anchored the KOLR 10 Daybreak from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. and KOLR 10 News Midday. Mira was first on the air with the Gypsy and Dee Dee Blanchard case.

Before that, he worked at News 14 Carolina in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a reporter and producer from June 2012 to July 2014.
