Later on, after working for WTVM News Leader 9 for about two years, he went on to join CBS 47 News and FOX 30 located in Jacksonville, Florida. While there, he was serving the station as a special project and General Assignment reporter.

Additionally, he reported live from Cleveland as three women held in captivity for 10 years were freed.

Among the best and most memorable stories that he told was one story he did in Detroit. He was sent on breaking news to a school where two students had been shot by a coach after they tried to him. One suspect was found wounded and rushed to the hospital but the second one was nowhere in sight until Chauncy stumbled upon the young man lying in the street. The man had been shot in the chest and was clinging to life. It was after witnessing the teenager die that he went back to Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School and created a mentorship program for young men.
The project, Chauncy Glover Project(CGP) is a hands-on, extensive mentoring program that grooms teenage boys into upstanding gentlemen. This program focuses on dressing for success, etiquette, college readiness, manhood, public speaking community service, and tutoring, among others. The CGP Gents and Young Gents are 7-12th graders whom he and other mentors meet with twice a month for empowerment sessions and outings. The CGP was proud and privileged to send its inaugural class known as “The Fearless 14” to college scholarships. This program now mentors more than 20 boys in the Motor City.
