Cheryl Burton is an American 13-time Emmy Award-winning anchor/reporter working for ABC7 Chicago where she anchors the ABC 7 Eyewitness News at 5 PM. Burton used to be a contributing anchor and in June 2018 was promoted to anchor of the station’s 10 PM newscast.

Prior to joining ABC7 Chicago News, she was working with the KWCH-TV team located in Wichita, Kansas where she was working as a weeknight anchor for the 6 PM News. Additionally, she also hosted the talk show “Viewpoint” between the years 1990 and 1992.
