Chris played the part of “Little Kid” many times on Channel 5 and was appointed for the “Best Talent” Emmy award when he was in junior high. It was a tight race but he lost the award … to his father! Cashman’s role is to be a creative voice for all things local at KING 5. His sense of humor is part of the package and his goal is to assist entertain and inform in a way the viewers don’t often see on local TV. He believes comedy is disarming and is a great way to broadcast information that may be tough to talk about.
Chris has received over a dozen regional Emmy awards. He is most proud of winning “Mr. Eastlake” in high school, but he has also worked for different local TV stations and nationally on the Discovery Channel & Comedy Central. Chris even hosted a fun game show on XBOX Live, which can be read in the Guinness Book of World Records!
While his face was resting for a few years he worked as a radio personality for ESPN & Fox Sports. Cashman is most proud of producing and creating a sketch comedy show with his dad. “The [206]” revived the Seattle-centric sketch comedy void and following three seasons we began a new syndicated variety show called “Up Late NW.”
