While at BYU, she had the chance to travel the country as a part of the BYU cheer squad and intern in New York City at NY1. Upon graduation, Dani consumed a year serving as a reporter and anchor at KPVI in Eastern Idaho prior to moving back to Boise to take over at the ABC affiliate KIVI as the morning weather forecaster.
From Boise, she relocated to Fort Myers, FL to gain experience in both tropical meteorology and severe weather. She was a key member of keeping southwest Florida safe and reported when Hurricane Irma made landfall on Marco Island in September 2017. Beckstrom is a major foodie and sports fan and loves living in NYC where there is never a scarcity of restaurants to try and teams to cheer on!
