Chandley works for FOX 5 Atlanta News where he serves the station as FOX 5 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist. Later on, after tracking Georgia’s weather for more than 35 years, he also chased his dream to be a chief meteorologist and joined the FOX 5 Storm team. There, he forecasts the weather news every weeknight at 5, 6, 10, and 11 PM. Asides from this, he forecasts the weather during severe weather events.
David is an AMS-certified meteorologist. Asides from this, he has been honored with numerous awards such as 11 Southeast Emmy Awards and countless Emmy nominations. Asides from this, he also received an Associated Press Best Weather Reporting Award about 13 times.
Chandley happens to be a door holder at Passion City Church. He has also worked with numerous organizations which include Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Gwinnett County Schools, and Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities. This is in addition to working with Atlanta Community Food Bank, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Camp Fire Boys and Girls. When he was at UGA, he was a student trainer and a proud member of the 1980 National Championship Football Team.
