Known for his creative storytelling and strong communication skills, Guillory anchors newscasts and contributes to breaking news coverage and live reports. Guillory also serves as a Consumer Investigative Reporter with a series of Consumer Reports stories. Notably, Guillory had a franchise titled “Recall Roundup” where he would break down the biggest food and product recalls of the week. Before joining WAFB, Guillory spent three years as the main anchor at WVLA, also based in Baton Rouge.
His earlier career includes reporting, anchoring, and producing roles at WLTX-TV in Columbia, South Carolina, WJBF News Channel 6 in Augusta, Georgia, WWBT-TV NBC 12 in Richmond, Virginia, Time Warner Cable in Stamford, Connecticut, and Pappas Telecasting in Visalia, CA. Guillory was also the 5 pm and 10 pm weekend and 10 pm weekday producer at Hearst Television in New York. Occasionally, he was the 11 pm weekday main anchor and investigative reporter at WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
One of the most formative experiences of his career was covering the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, a moment he credits with shaping his journalistic identity and deepening his commitment to public service through media.
