He has 40 years of experience in Louisiana TV, most of which he has served in his hometown. Ed works as a Sports Director at WGNO TV New Orleans. He eventually joined WGNO TV in 1991 as a freelancer, becoming a full-time employee in January of 1993. In 1991, Ed produced Friday Night Football back, the first high school football show in New Orleans where the programs aired on both WGNO and live each week on WNOL (Channel 38).

Ed has worked as the Sports Director of WGNO since 1993 and as Sports Anchor from 1996 thru 2006. He was titled Louisiana Sportscaster of the Year by the Sportscasters Association and  National Sportswriters in 1997, 2014, and 2018. He also co-presenters “The Tailgaters Show” on 106.1 FM NASH ICON alongside  Ken Trahan.

Daniels also serves as a co-presenter and producer of Friday Night Fastball, hosted by Delgado Community College. He co-presents the program alongside head baseball coach Joe Scheuermann and  Delgado’s director of athletics.

Along with Timmy Byrd, Riverside basketball coach, Ed operates as co-tournament director of one of the leading high school basketball tournaments in the country, the Allstate Sugar Bowl National Prep Classic. He and Brother Martin AD Mark Wisniewski also operate as tournament directors for the WGNO baseball classic, an annual high school tournament presenting some of the leading prep baseball teams in Louisiana.
