Peterson is originally from the downstate Grand Rapids area and has lived in the Upper Peninsula for over 18 years. She grew up in the television industry as her aunt, mother, and grandmother all held different positions at television stations nationwide. Peterson has been lucky to work with great people throughout her career, people who have given her a deeper understanding of what the Upper Peninsula and its residents are all about.
