By far, the thrill of his profession, so far, is being able to report the 2009-2010 New Orleans Saints along the journey to the franchise’s first Super Bowl Championship. Being in Miami for Saint’s first Super Bowl victory is a life-long dream for him. George’s opportunity to conduct a one-on-one interview with Golf Legend Jack Nicklaus ranks up there, also.
Prior to joining News 10, he served at KPLC-TV station in Lake Charles, LA. George also served in Columbus, MS at WCBI-TV and Meridian, MS at WMDN-TV. He interned at WWL870AM and WWL-TV in New Orleans.
As for news, George’s most intriguing news interview came when he spoke with the first black student, James Meredith at Ole Miss. But, perhaps the biggest story was the reportage of Hurricane Katrina. He earned a Communicator Award for his work on the show, “Ole Miss Football” alongside David Cutcliffe, and has earned numerous A.P. awards during his career. George is a die-hard New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan. His favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs. When he’s not watching sports, he looks forward to spending time with his family.
