During her time at WINK, she went skydiving with the U.S. Army Golden Knights during their winter training in Homestead and witnessed the execution of Manuel Valle in Starke. In Addition, Hinds explored the state reporting stories such as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill in Pensacola.
In 2013, Hinds was appreciated by the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters. She received the Best Individual Achievement Award for excellence in covering various feature stories, hard news, as well as breaking news.
Prior to flying south to Florida, she served at WTVH/WSTM in Syracuse, NY as a multimedia journalist.
