Her passion for meteorology was solidified in 2015 when she witnessed the devastating Rochelle, Illinois, tornado 2015.
Notably, her time at the University of South Alabama was marked by extensive endeavours, having gained practical broadcasting experience at the AtmosCenter studio, where she actively worked as a student meteorologist. In this role, Hannah provided forecasts for the USA football team that were aired on the stadium jumbotron. She also served as President of the Meteorology Club, President of the Diamond Girls organization, and was a member of the South Alabama Cheer team, supporting the USA Baseball team across multiple seasons. In addition, she played a key role in organizing the university’s annual Southeast Coastal and Atmospheric Processes Symposium (SeCAPS) and served as the Lead MESONET Technician under Dr. Sytske Kimball.
Additionally, in the summer of 2023, Fink interned with WKRG’s First Alert Weather Team, where she gained direct exposure to forecasting and on-air weather presentation. During her leisure time, Fink enjoys exploring everything the Gulf Coast has to offer, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors.
