Williams works at KVUE-TV in Austin, Texas, as a chief meteorologist. He started working at the station in January 2020 as a weekend meteorologist. In January 2022, he became the morning meteorologist and then in October 2022, he was promoted to chief meteorologist of the station. Prior to joining the station, Williams worked at WMAZ-TV in Macon, Georgia starting as a weekend meteorologist in June 2017 then became the morning meteorologist in June 2018 to January 2020. During his time at the station, he covered numerous severe weather outbreaks including Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Irma. Before that, he worked at WKLS Rock 105.9 in Anniston, Alabama as a radio weather forecaster from January 2015 to May 2017.
Williams also worked at WVUA 23 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as a weekend and fill-in weather anchor from June 2016 to August 2016. Prior to joining WVUA, he worked as a weather intern at WBRC FOX6 News in Birmingham, Alabama from June 2015 to August 2015. Williams also worked as a weather intern at ABC 33/40 still in Birmingham, Alabama from June 2014 to August 2014. His passion for meteorology began on April 27, 2011, when there was a historic tornado outbreak across Alabama, his home state. He remembers sitting on his living room floor as he watched live coverage of the Tuscaloosa EF-4 tornado tearing through the city. Additionally, Williams received the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society.
