Pohl launched his broadcasting career in high school, where he was part of the school’s on-air radio station WCWT. Later, he relocated to serve multiple Dayton regional radio stations. However, he is best known for his time as the Z-93 morning show host with Kim Faris.
Pohl worked both radio and TV in the early 1990’s, filling in at WDTN while continuing his morning show. In 1995, he left radio after WDTN hired him as a full-time weekend sports and reporter. In January 2002, he was promoted to sports director.
During his sports career, Pohl has broadcast events like two Ohio State national championship triumphs, the Bengals in Super Bowl 56, Reds spring training, and numerous high school and college events. He has also been the play-by-play announcer for Wright State University basketball on WDTN and Dayton’s CW.
