Hopkins’s work there covered everything from intense hurricanes to icy winter storms – he says that this experience gave him broad experience across different weather patterns.
Prior to his years in Myrtle Beach, Hopkins was on the morning shift for WOWK-TV and WVNS-TV in the Charleston-Huntington area (it was from February of the year 2012 to January of the year 2015). Before that, Hopkins forecasted for viewers in Savannah, Georgia – this was while he was working at WTGS FOX 28 and WJCL ABC 22 (this was from December 2010 to February 2012). Hopkins got his very 1st full-time job in Colorado – there he worked at KKCO-TV (from January 2009 to December 2010) and he handled weekend weather reports.
