Ryherd was a producer and director in the school’s weather broadcast, Cy’s Eyes on the Skies. She began her career as a meteorologist at KOLN-TV, KNOP-TV, KSNB-TV, and KNEP-TV. She received the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist in 2021. Additionally, Jan is also very active when it comes to volunteering in her community. She is also an advocate for STEM and is often motivating young women to pursue their science dreams.
Jan enjoys teaching people about the weather where they live. Her favorite thing about her job is visiting schools and going out in the community to share her passion for weather and science with future scientists.
