Jaysha Patel is an American Reporter/Anchor working for ABC7 News in Los Angeles where he works as a Community journalist in Long Beach since joining the station in July of 2021. Prior to ABC7 News, he was working in his hometown of Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama.

He is very happy to be back in Los Angeles and be working for ABC 7 News where she spent her early life as a child actress. Through her love for storytelling, she pursued a career in journalism and has moved from doing written news and on to her own written news.
Previously, she was working as a reporter for WPMI NBC15 located in Alabama where she was covering tornadoes, the cruise industry at the port, the coronavirus pandemic effects on the Mardi Gras season, and hurricanes. In addition, while she was a student, she covered the Naval Air Station shooting in Pensacola whose officials discovered was in contact with the Al-Qaida and killed three sailors.
She was part of a news team that won a regional Edward R. Murrow for “Overall Excellence Award for news coverage in the year 2020 and covering breaking news coverage in the year 2021.
While still in school, she traveled to Memphis in order to cover the 50th anniversary and commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination alongside the National Public Radio(NPR) affiliate there. Additionally, she also traveled to Urbino in Italy where she was also working as a reporter and reported on earthquake damage in the nearby town of Camerino.
Among her interests includes exploring new food places, watching Indian Bollywood movies, playing with her dog Raja, and cooking.
