From there, she accepted a job at News19 in Columbia, South Carolina where she served as a political reporter and general assignment and was later promoted to weekend anchor. While there, she interviewed a few presidential candidates including former Texas Governor Rick Perry and Herman Cain, as well as former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Jennifer was also a member of the News19 family awarded a 2015 Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for Outstanding Local Television Investigative Reporting. She also contributed to the continuing coverage of South Carolina’s Department of Social Services following the deaths of children and reports of problems at the state agency. Her job covering the agency also earned a South Carolina Broadcasters Association STAR award.

Bellamy has also been chosen for several regional Emmy Awards through the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast Chapter, such as a nomination for an outstanding anchor.

When she is not on the new desk, she loves cheering on the Falcons and the Bulldogs, alongside any other Atlanta team with red in their colors.
