This show explores racial equity and social justice and attempts to bridge the divide between backgrounds and generations. While at the station, she won an Emmy for her poignant series, on the emotional journey of an East Bay transgender teen and her efforts to preserve her fertility before undergoing sex reassignment surgery. This is another Emmy she received for her live coverage of the “Ghostship” warehouse fire in Oakland.
