Previously, Jim served as a reporter for the critically acclaimed South Beach News Magazine, ‘The Times’ at WAMI-TV, Miami. While at the station, he also hosted the Mervyn’s Beach Bash, a nationally televised extreme sports program shot in Los Angeles. Before, Altman worked at ABC Newsmagazine 20/20 as an Associate Producer for 8 years. During his time at the station, he traveled to the country covering some of the network’s most high-profile stories and has a number of national production credits to his name.
Furthermore, he began his broadcast career at NBC, as a member of the prestigious NBC Page Program. Moreover, he spent seven years as the host of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Labor Day Telethon. Jim also serves as emcee for fundraisers around the state, donating time to charities like the Hometown Foundation, and the Parkinson’s Foundation.
