Joleen Chaney is an  American Anchor working with KFOR in Lancaster, Pennsylvania serving as the anchor of the 4,6 & 10 p.m. newscasts. She has been working with this station since June 2016.

Chaney is working at KFOR where she serves as the anchor of the 4,6 & 10 p.m. newscasts. She began her television career at KFOR\ News 4 as an intern and after a week, she secured a job behind the scenes as a weekend writer and assignment editor. By the end of three months, she began working her first on-air job as a morning anchor at KAUZ-TV in Wichita Falls, Texas.

While she was in her senior year of college at Cameron University, she was involved in the Honor’s Program. After a year, she returned to KFOR-TV as a news anchor and reporter. However, she worked at another local television station from June 2014 to June 2016 before returning to her KFOR family. When she came back, she served as the weekday anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast.

In addition, after journalist Linda Cavanaugh went her retirement, Chaney took up her position as the main evening anchor.  Fairview is her birth home while she was brought up in Rush Springs as a sixth-generation Oklahoman and she is a member of the Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma. Furthermore, the Associated Press honored her for Best Reporter Portfolio, and for her feature reporting, diversity reporting, and criminal justice reporting, she was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists.

Furthermore, she was nominated for a Heartland Emmy for breaking news tornado coverage in 2010, and over the years, she has won a number of Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards. For coverage of the May 2013 Moore tornado, Chaney was part of the KFOR-TV team that won multiple Emmy awards. In addition, she was also nominated for an Emmy award for a military piece that touched on the medical journey and limb transplants of a bilateral amputee veteran. During her downtime, she enjoys hiking and running and is a lifelong athlete.

Over the years, she has taken part in races across the state and volunteered her time in events profiting Oklahoma nonprofits. Chaney took part in and completed a half-ironman triathlon that assisted raise a number of dollars for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society of Oklahoma in 2011. In addition, during events that help the American Diabetes Association and the Children’s Miracle Network, she has cycled and run in such events.

In April 2012, was when she ran her first full marathon completing the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, and over the years, she has run in many marathons across Oklahoma. Furthermore, she was a member of Oklahoma Magazine’s called 30 under 30 NextGen. As of the moment, she is an honorary board member of the Children’s Hospital. In addition, she gathers a biweekly segment called, A Heart for Kids.

Over the years, she has been traveling the state speaking to women’s groups and to high school students as a graduation and baccalaureate speaker. Chaney is a member of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City and the Downtown Club of Oklahoma City.
