Prior to WWL-TV he worked at WROC-TV in Rochester, New York Area where he served as an AM and noon meteorologist. From 2002 to 2007 Myers served as the chief meteorologist for WETM-TV (NBC) in Elmira, New York Area.
Throughout his career, his work has been recognized by the American Meteorological Society and awarded the AMS Seal of Approval, and holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist(CBM). He has also been awarded the NWA Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association.
