Her job has included coverage of all kinds of extreme weather including flooding, tornado events, and tropical systems all over multiple southern states. Recently she assisted cover the 2020 Easter Sunday fatal tornado outbreak in southeast Mississippi. In her free time, you can catch Kara outdoors exploring new places with her mini poodle, Truffles. She is also an avid runner and often races in 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons.
