Liz spent a whole month in the courtroom, getting to know the families of Mary Harris, Eli Brookens, Janie Chase Cozzi, Cyrus Zschau, and Liam Hale, the five teenagers murdered at the hands of Bourgoin. She has done a few stories about the effect of their loss on the Mad River Valley community. A poem about kindness, authored by Harris, hangs on Liz’s desk in the newsroom.
Liz is a native New Englander and she was raised in a small town in central Massachusetts and is no stranger to our region’s cold winters and muggy summers. She loves singing, traveling, volunteering, and exploring the picturesque small towns across her region, and likes to think of herself as a ‘coffee connoisseur’. Liz went to the University of Massachusetts Amherst. After graduating, Liz got her internship at WCVB-TV in Boston (NBC5’s sister station), WGGB-TV in Springfield, MA, and WPRI-TV in Providence, RI.
