While in Houston, she was working for the oldest Black-owned station in the heart of Houston 90.9 KTSU. This was in addition to helping create a student-run station and social media news outlet, KTSU2 News. While there, she was serving the station as a Lead News Anchor. She worked with the station between March 2018 and May 2021.
Prior to her first Digital Producer job, she was covering countless stories which were centering around the historic Fourth Ward area in Houston. While at Texas Southern, she was also able to build connections with political figures and leaders in the community. This was while helping her cover stories surrounding George Floyd, which is a high-profile case in America dealing with race.
Away from work, she enjoys traveling, finding adventure, the arts, and collecting vinyl. She states that she is happy to continue her career working in Central Texas with the KCEN family.
