While working for ABC 7, he has been able to report on a number of breaking news stories which include the destructive Thomas Fire in Ventura, the mudslide aftermath in Montecito, and the Las Vegas mass shooting. During his tenure at KION-TV, he happened to hold several roles for the station. Among them includes being an evening news anchor for the station, a role he undertook in 2010. In addition, while there, the station was awarded three consecutive regional Emmy Awards for being the best newscast(small market) in Northern California.
Later in 2012, his role as an anchor was extended to the sister station, KCOY 12, and KKFX 11 which was based in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara in California. He began his broadcasting career in the year 2006 when he was working for the KVII-TV located in Amarillo where he was working as a morning news anchor.
Prior to joining the broadcasting career, he was driving open-wheel race cars where he was competing in the Pro Mazda National Championship. In addition, he continues to be an avid motorsports fan and has also attended the annual Indianapolis 500 since the year 1993.
