Zinni was diagnosed with stage one thyroid cancer during a routine physical exam in January 2014. He went to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment and had his thyroid removed. Mark has been educating people about the importance of annual doctor appointments and health checks since his diagnosis. Furthermore, he will have to take medication for the rest of his life and undergo some other treatments in the future, with no chemotherapy or radiation.
