In a transparent and open-minded strategy of communication, Meister led District 49 communication, marketing, media relations, and public relations. Moreover, The communications department in District 49 was awarded two Medallion Awards among many other Public Relations Association Awards in the Colorado School.
Before that, Meister worked at KRDO NewsChannel 13 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States as a meteorologist from 2001 to May 2014. In 2005, he was promoted and assumed the role of a weekday evening meteorologist, then Meister was later promoted to chief meteorologist. Additionally, at the same station, the American Meteorological Society recognized Meister as the first Certified Broadcast Meteorologist in southern Colorado. Meister is also an author and has published a number of papers based on his research on thunderstorms which was of a tracking system and a forecast that was automated.
Meister volunteers at his church and several organizations as a coach for youth sports. He also volunteers as an emcee for annual galas for fundraising, dances, dinners, runs, auctions, and other fundraising events. Meister has been an emcee in southern Colorado, in events that raised twenty million dollars, since the year 2001.
