Prior to joining KGTV-TV, she served as an evening meteorologist at KDRV-TV for 2 years. During her time there, she transitioned to the evening newscasts and was voted the second “Most Popular TV Personality of Southern Oregon.” In addition to that, Megan also enjoyed volunteering at the local animal shelter, adopting her second rescue dog, and hosting the annual Pet Fashion Show.
Before working at KDRV-TV, Parry served as a weekend Meteorologist at WTOK-TV for 7 months. While at the station, she headed to the Great Plains to storm chase, and she witnessed firsthand the damage felt by the 2011 Joplin, Mo., EF-5 tornado the 7th-deadliest tornado on record. From October 2011 to December 2011, Megan was an intern meteorologist at WTVA. She also worked at Mississippi State University AS A graduate teaching assistant for 1 year (August 2010-December 2011). From May 2011 to July 2011, she served as an intern at WVUA-TV.
Additionally, she also has a love for animals, especially dogs, and enjoys volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society with one of her three rescue dogs, Coco Chanel Sprinkles. Additionally, she is very active in her community and loves to travel with her husband, doing CrossFit, and considers herself a nacho connoisseur. Aside from this, she states that she can never turn into a good craft beer.
