But Central Florida is home, and she is thrilled to finally make it back there.
During her time in New Orleans, she reported on tornadoes, floods, tropical storms, and hurricanes, including Hurricane Ida, which devastated regions of Southeast Louisiana. Before WWL, she managed forecasting as well as traffic in Great Falls, Montana, and Richmond, Virginia.
In Virginia, Michelle reported on Hurricane Isaias and Florence, and tropical storms, which spawned about 17 tornadoes in her viewing area. In Montana, she forecasted wildfires, microbursts, tornadoes, droughts, and chinook winds. Back in August 2017, she experienced the Great American Eclipse, when 90% of the sun was obscured by the moon.
