N.J. is known for covering major stories like the historic earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear accident that happened in 2011 in Japan. He also covered an earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010, the Israeli-Hamas war in Gaza, in 2009-2010, the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon in 2006, bombings in London (2005) and Madrid (2004) by terrorists, death of Palestinian leader, Yasir Arafat, Iraq war in 2003, landmark police misconduct, Sandy Hook Elementary School Massacre and the collision of a jet on September 11th, 2001 at the World Trade Center whereby he and his photographer escaped narrowly after the South Tower collapsed. Their work is on exhibit in Washington, DC, at the Newseum. He also witnessed the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005.
