In April 2017, she started her time as a news for WLUC TV6 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C, she covered events all over Michigan and followed 79 veterans. Buchman has won the 2017 Michigan’s Association of Broadcasters News Reporter Merit Award for her work at TV6.
There, she was also promoted to fill in positions as the morning live shot reporter and the weekend anchor. She was a full-time student at Grand Valley State University before starting her broadcasting career. There she interned at Grand Rapids’ WOOD TV8, WGVU, and Kalamazoo’s 103.3 WKFR. During her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and cheering for the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Lions, and Tigers.
