She has also worked in Indianapolis, Indiana at WISH-TV where she served as the weekend evening meteorologist. In addition, she has also worked at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana where she started off as the weekend meteorologist and was later promoted to the weekday morning meteorologist.
Furthermore, Gardner started her career at WIPB-TV in Muncie, Indiana and while she worked there, she was nominated for a professional regional Emmy Award in college. Later on, she got nominated for a number of New England Emmys, including for Weather-Anchor. In 2016, the National Weather Association awarded her with their Seal of Approval and for her skills in tornadoes and severe thunderstorms, she relocated to Norman, Oklahoma. In addition, for the research in the Hazardous Weather Testbed, FACETs, she was selected in 2017, as the first female and first New England representative.
In 2018, Gardner was invited to the National Weather Service to experiment with the GOES-R satellite technology for severe weather warnings. To share her love of forecasting with students, she traveled all across New England and Midwest. During her downtime, she enjoys exploring everything New England has to offer with her family, swimming, and being at the beach.
