Yanity graduated in 1985 from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is the Sports Director and weeknight sports anchor at the CBS affiliate in Greenville, SC. In 2017, he returned as host and producer to the television shows. Among his other work, he served as the sideline reporter on the Carolina Panthers preseason TV Network from 2001-2013.

Pete also worked as a spokesman for 7 News’ One for the Community campaign and is one of the station’s yearly emcees for the March Of Dimes March For Babies event. Born and raised in Ridgefield, Conn., previously, Pete served as sports director at 7NEWS’ sister station, WBTW TV-13 in Florence, S.C., from March 1987 to October 1990, where he also served as assistant sports director and weekend sports anchor from August 1985 until March 1986. Between his time at WBTW, Pete served as the sports director for WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, W.Va.
