She is a Broadcast Meteorologist certified by the American Meteorological Society. Prior to joining the station, Duensing worked at WBBH-WZVN NBC 2 in Fort Myers, Florida as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist from May 2018 to May 2021. At the station, she covered it all from daily thunderstorms and extreme heat to hurricanes and tropical storms. In the station, is where she developed a love for tropical systems of complex nature.
Before working at NBC 2, Duensing started working at WSIL-TV in Harrisburg, Illinois as a weekend morning meteorologist then she was promoted to weekday morning meteorologist from June 2015 to April 2018. Duensing forecasted ice storms, extreme cold, record-breaking heat, and severe weather like the EF4 tornado. Before joining WSIL, she was a student ambassador at Valparaiso University from August 2011 to May 2015. Prior to that, Duensing was a Weather Director at VUTV Weather from April 2014 to April 2015. From June 2012 to December 2014, she worked as an Associate Producer at WSIL-TV. Duensing also worked at Valparaiso University Television from November 2011 to April 2012 as a Weather Producer then she changed roles to Assistant Weather Director in April 2012 and held the role till April 2014.
