Varon is a breast cancer survivor who works diligently to help heighten cancer prevention and awareness and is an in-demand motivational speaker. As an animal lover, Varon volunteers much of her time to the PAWS Chicago and Anti-Cruelty Society. Varon was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2006.
