Nichols was inducted into the prestigious McMurry University Athletic Hall of Honor in 2017. He is the President and founder of Basketball Smiles, which is a program of free basketball camps in the inner city neighborhoods of the Bahamas, for 20 years. She first enrolled in McMurry University where he studied and got a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness. He later joined Abilene Christian University and earned his Master’s Degree in Education.
