While working at the station, Squires not only worked in front of the camera but also behind the scenes where she wrote stories concerning weather phenomena affecting the northeast for digital media. Some of the stories include severe weather, snowfalls over two feet, and sometimes even tropical systems.
Before that, Squires worked at WTXL ABC 27 in Tallahassee, Florida as a weather forecaster from September 2019 to March 2020. Prior to that, she worked as a weather intern at FOX 8 News Cleveland from May 2019 to June 2019. She also worked at WGXA in Macon, Georgia as a weather intern from May 2018 to July 2018. Squires says that her love for weather started when she was a child because of the fear she had of severe weather after experiencing a tornado.
