Damante attends the University of San Diego and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts a Communication and Media Studies. While still in college, she worked on a sports magazine called Gulls in Flight, which is a program in the San Diego Sports Arena.

Before joining the station, she worked at WAND NBC 17 as a morning news anchor at 5 a.m., 7 a.m. and Noon. Damante worked at the station from the year 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, she worked as an evening news Anchor, at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. at Action News Now from 2013 to 2015. She also worked at KESQ before joining WAND NBC 17. Damante held the position of a news reporter from 2004 to 2013. While in the station, she reported various historic events. These included the visit made by President Bush to the desert and the funeral of former President Gerald Ford which was covered live.
Prior to joining KESQ, Damante worked as a morning anchor, lead field reporter, producer, and editor at KTWO ABC 17. The station is located in Casper Wyoming where she worked from 2002 to 2004 on weeknights at 6.30 p.m. This is where her career began as she anchored and produced the K2News at Noon and ‘Good Morning Wyoming’. Damante says that she will never forget driving to work to see a wild buck at the parking lot at the station at 3.30 in the morning. She also enjoyed shoveling snow.
After studying and graduating, Damante was employed by KGTV-TV in the role of a producer. She spent the following year producing and writing health, family, and financial segments for broadcast on 4 McGraw-Hill TV stations in the country. Every year on the red carpet at the Palm Springs International Film Festival he interviews top celebrities of Hollywood. Damante takes being twirled on the red carpet by John Travolta, one of her favorites, as one of her unforgettable moments.
