Prior to joining Queen City, he worked at FOX Carolina in Greenville, South Carolina starting as a meteorologist in December 2013. In December 2016, he became the news anchor and weekend meteorologist at the station where he anchored the weekday morning newscasts.
During his time there, Phaeton covered many tropical systems that affected the Carolina Coast like Hurricane Florence and Matthew. His field reports helped viewers and residents stay safe during the life and impact of every storm. Before that, Phaeton worked at WNEM TV5- MY5 in Saginaw, Michigan as a meteorologist trainee from March 2013 to December 2013. Prior to that, he worked at Patrick F. Adams P.C. in Great River New York as a legal weather consultant from May 2010 to March 2013. His passion for weather started when he was five years old during the 1993 Storm of the Century. The storm brought mounds of snow to his parent’s front door. He recalls being thrown across his front yard by the storm’s powerful winds as he was helping my dad shovel the driveway. He joined the National Weather Association and received his NWA Television/Radio Seal of Approval in December 2016.
