Sears had a recurring role from 2015 to 2016 in the television series, Flash as Hunter Zolomon. Hunter was not in a good relationship with his parents and they barely communicated with each other or with him. His dad was exposed as a serial killer on the day Hunter was to leave for college. He had killed six girls and his mother and he was gunned down by the police after he refused to surrender. This led to his yearning to understand the criminal mind and hence studied criminology and psychology. Later, he joined the F.B.I. alongside Ashley, his girlfriend whom he married.
