Tom came to the FOX6 Weather Team in June 2014 and it is great to be home again. Ever since age three, Tom knew he wanted to be a weatherman. He was raised in Mequon, watching and learning from former FOX6 Chief Meteorologist Vince Condella. In high school, Tom was lucky to intern with Vince, so, it is a dream come true to work at FOX6.
Upon graduating from Homestead High School, he dove into the business early, interning at multiple TV stations in both Milwaukee and Oklahoma City. Tom also got his internship at The Weather Channel in Atlanta. After college, he worked for two years as Chief Meteorologist at KNOP-TV in North Platte, Nebraska before transferring to WJHL-TV in northeast Tennessee. After that, he headed for Kansas City, where he worked at KCTV for 6 years, doing TV weather and storm tracking for the station.
Tom was one of the first 200 individuals in the country to obtain the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist designation (“CBM”) from the American Meteorological Society. He was also privileged to receive the 2019 Best Weathercast Award from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
