During his early years of life, he lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it was there in the snowy winters and harsh cold that his love for weather commenced.
After relocating to Montgomery, Alabama, his fascination with the weather continued to grow with tropical weather and severe storms becoming more of the norm. This interest led him to pursue a degree in meteorology.
He commenced his TV career at WBKB in Alpena, Michigan as Chief Meteorologist, where he was awarded Best Weathercast by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. While there he forecasted more than his fair share of winter weather, which to be honest, was exciting to him. Adam particularly remembers reporting the harsh winter of February 2015, which was the coldest month ever in Alpena’s history, and 2013-2014 and how it almost caused Lake Huron to completely freeze over.
His second stop was at WCIA in Champaign, Illinois where he gained valuable experience reporting severe weather, including the largest December whirlwind outbreak in Illinois history on the 1st of December 2018, with 29 confirmed tornadoes. Even more incredible regarding that day was the fact there were no deaths related to any of those tornadoes. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing sports (or anything competitive), eating, and assisting his church with volunteer work.
