Prior to joining the FOX 16 team, he worked at KBJR in Duluth, Minnesota where he served as the weekend meteorologist. While he worked in the far North as a forecaster and reporter, he covered a record-breaking blizzard that dropped nearly 2 feet of snow. In addition, he covered a polar vortex keeping temperatures below zero for 10 days in a row. Libby has also covered severe weather outbreaks inclusive of tornadoes, and baseball-sized hail.
Prior to becoming a forecast in Minnesota, he attended Plymouth State University in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where he earned a degree in Meteorology. In addition to meteorology, hr also pitched on the baseball team. The American Meteorological Society awarded him with the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal of approval in May 2022.
