He began working at KREX 5 News in Grand Junction, Colorado and while he was there, he served as the sports director. He worked at KREX 5 News for close to two years and during that time, he covered high school sports, Colorado Mesa University, the Denver Broncos, and Winter X-Games. In addition, when he went ive for a minor league All-Star game when kids swarmed him during a live shot, he went viral on the internet and the video got millions of views in addition to being interviewed on The Kelly Clarkson Show. In 2019, he served as the in-game host for Air Force football when he was in Colorado Springs he also ended the season as the No. 22 team in the country in Troy’s only year. During his leisure time, he enjoys telling jokes, eating, watching movies, playing the piano, and on adventures.
